Basic Design Parameters and Location for Collimators in the LHC


The list is divided into different types of collimators. A "collimator type" is defined by the same or very similar basic design parameters for the collimator hardware.

This is a working list. At the moment 7 different design varieties can be distinguished for phase 1. Types similar to secondary collimator design are listed first, devices with large design changes are listed towards the end:
